FAQswhat is Fired Arts?Fired Arts is a craft cafe. Like any good cafe, you can enjoy great quality refreshments and delicious cakes. Unlike other cafes, however, you can paint, stamp, stencil to your heart's content and generally make a bit of a mess (we don't mind a bit). do I need to be artistic?Not at all. We have everything you need to create a masterpiece including tools, stamps, stencils, books of ideas and helpful staff. After all, some of the most effective designs are often the msot simple. how much does it cost?We charge a studio fee of £3 per painter plus the cost of the item you wish to paint. Pots start at £2.50. Mosaics cost £7 for a 4 x 4 tile and include all the materials you will need. do I need to book?It is always advisable to book at weekends, during school holidays and towards Christmas as these times can be very busy. how long does it take?Allow yourself at least one hour. It all depends on what you decide to paint and how intricate your design is. Younger children usually don't take as long. There is no time restriction on your visit and, if you don't finish, you can always come back at a later date. when will my pots be ready?We glaze and fire all items on site in rotation from the time they were painted. The firing process takes nearly a full day and so items will be ready in approximately one week. At busier times, such as school holidays and Christmas, please allow up to 10 days before collection. If an item is required urgently then we will do our very best to get it ready for you as quickly as possible.

To help those creative juices flow we offer an irresistible selection of refreshments from freshly ground coffees, hot chocolate, speciality teas and cold drinks to delicious cakes and flapjacks. Be sure to ask for a 'special hot chocolate' with marshmallows and flakes!  special hot chocolate! can you accommodate parties?Absolutely.
